Oneka Ridge Golf Course opened in July 1995. The golf course name is derived from the Dakota word “Onakan” which means ” striking rice into the canoe”. Rice Lake, located near the center of the township had been the resort of a band of Native Americans from Mendota. There they gathered rice during the summer, which was sold in St. Paul. Oneka Ridge Golf Course is an 18 hole, par 72 facility that accommodates all levels of play.
